An educational mobile app for learning judo techniques, terminology and rules through interactive quizzes.
Judo Academy is an Android application designed for judo practitioners of all ages — especially children and youth training at judo clubs. The app helps users learn and review judo throws, grappling techniques, Japanese terminology, and competition rules through gamified quizzes, a technique encyclopedia, and progress tracking tied to belt ranks (kyu/dan system).
Signing in with Google is optional and is used only to save a user's quiz progress, belt rank, and achievements to their account, so this progress can be restored if they reinstall the app or switch to a new phone. Judo Academy only requests a user's basic Google profile information (name, email address, and profile photo) to create and identify their account — it does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, or any other Google data. Users who prefer not to sign in can still use the app's core features (quizzes, technique library) without a Google account, though their progress will then be stored locally on the device only.
